METHODIST CHURCH

The Chapel building was opened on August 13th 1891; this replaced the former Wesleyan Chapel which was built in 1836.
In 2000 the inside of the Chapel was modernised as fire regulations required an exit at the front. At this time we found out that the building was listed both inside and out. The whole of the building has disabled access, and rooms are available for hire.
The Methodist Chapel is active with a strong fellowship and active youth work. It works closely with the Anglican Church on many activities.

Sunday Worship
Two Services of Worship are held on a Sunday at 11.00 am and 6.30 pm Also, at the same time as the 11.00 a.m. service there is a lively Junior Church and crèche facilities.
Prayer Meetings
A prayer meeting together with various study groups and courses are held most weeks.
Thursday Youth Club
On Thursdays a very active Youth Club meets between 7.15 pm. - 9.15 pm. during term time, and the programme includes many activities for 11-16 yr olds. The group has about 50 members.
Friday Club
On alternate Fridays a junior youth group meets known as "The Friday Club" and caters for 7 - 11 yr olds.
The Friday Club junior youth group meet from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm and engage in a wide range of activities. The current membership is around 40 youngsters.
